Midas Hotel and Casino 2702 Lobby Lounge Mixologist Jozel Mutoc’s cocktail entry, the Strawberry Mango Fizz, won the title of The Best Drink in this year’s Midas Hotel and Casino and Twinings Cocktail Competition. The drink won the judges’ hearts because of its fruity and tangy notes, with just the right sweetness. Mutoc takes the Twinings’ sweet and fruity Strawberry and Mango Tea as the inspiration for his winning entry.
Coming in at third and second place are Yanagi Mixologists Justine Ignacio’s Chazuri Twinings and Syd Digal’s Wild Shi Berries Tea, respectively. Chazuri Twinings is the only hot cocktail entry made with Twinings Lemon and Ginger, while Wild Shi Berries Tea is one tasty concoction of different fruit flavors created with Twinings Wild Berries.
The three winners bested nine other contestants from 2702 Lobby Lounge, Yanagi, Midas Café, Banquet Services and Casino Bar. Now on its second year, this cocktail competition serves as the source for the hotel’s monthly Drink of the Month. This year’s concoctions will be 2020’s line-up of original cocktail creations.
Each winner took home cash prizes and Twinings gift bags from MDCI – AB Foods and Beverages Philippines Inc., the distributor of Twinings in the Philippines.
